Medium Voltage Fuses
Product Information
These specially designed devices with proportional components switch on
the circuit where are placed with one or more components being fused
and switch off the circuit when a specific current value exceeds an
adequate perlod of time. These devices consist of ; A connecting
terminal , Fuse base (fuse fixing location), Fuse base contact ,
Replacer , Replacer contact , Fuse member , Indicator , Exciter.
All
components comprising the fuse mechanism are defined (as fuse stand and
replacer) in the associeted standard. From the point of the user , a
fuse generally means a replacer (fuse bushing).
Fuses are classified
as "general-purpose" , "succesive " and " full-range" fuses according to
the area of use depending on their current limiting properties
Fuses
are protecting members that switch of huge short-circuit currents going
through the faulty circuit by being fused due the heat energy generated
by the fault current and also prevent recurring jumps by providing
isolation. The function of fuses is to protect the equipment from
dynamic and thermal affects that might be caused by short-circuit
currents in the system. As they are affordable and do not require
maintenance, mid-voltage switching stations are preferred to be
protected with fuses against short-circuit and faultcurrents.
Intended for use ine OG distribution networks , ELOPAR-branded
high-voltage fuses with fusible wire are suitable for indoor and outdoor
used up to 36 kV , of current-limiting type and successive (back-up
fuse) with high rupturing capecity in accordance with the Standard No.
